Konstantin is the founder of NAVICUS.LAW and one of Russia’s leading maritime law lawyers with 20 years’ experience. Representative Experience
- Represented a foreign shipowner and its P&I Club following a bunker fuel spill in the port of St. Petersburg. The claims brought against the client totalled over $5 million. The 2001 Bunkers Convention was applied in this case for the first time in Russian history.
- Obtained recognition and enforcement in the Russian Federation of a judgment rendered by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
- Acted for a shipowner in a dispute seeking unprecedented damages in modern Russian maritime law, which resulted in the opponent’s claims being reduced from $65 million to $27 million.
- Appeared as an expert witness on Russian law in London arbitration proceedings in which the total amount of claims exceeded $100 million. As part of that case, he prepared an expert opinion on how Russian counter-sanctions affect transactions between Russian companies and foreign partners.
