Since September 2026, Konstantin Putrya has been teaching “Current Issues in International Maritime Law” at St Petersburg State University. The course is run as a Master’s degree programme, with some of the lectures to be delivered by the NAVICUS.LAW Partner at the University’s branch in Tashkent.
The syllabus covers a broad range of topics, including the legal status of vessels and their crews, the legal aspects of regulating international shipping in ports, and the legal issues arising in connection with pilotage, the removal of wrecks and other sunken property, carriage by sea, towage and marine insurance.
The course will thus enable students to gain a thorough understanding of the principal legal frameworks governing international maritime shipping, Konstantin Putrya noted.
