Ivan Kobchenko, Director at NAVICUS.LAW, attended the Marine Insurance Middle East conference held on 9 October in Dubai.
According to Ivan, the conference focused on two main areas of discussion. The first concerned the global agenda, including the shadow fleet, rising tariff rates, cybersecurity, and general insurance cover issues.
The second part of the discussion turned to the Middle East, with experts examining effective approaches to handling casualties in the Persian Gulf.
A separate focus session was devoted to war risks, which remain a pressing concern not only in the Persian Gulf but also in Russian waters. Our team’s own experience, Ivan added, confirms this.
