Since his student years, Ivan has built his career at law firms ranked in the top bands of the leading Russian legal directory, Pravo-300. He currently has expertise across several areas of law: civil (including corporate), administrative, tax and maritime law. In maritime law, Ivan’s practice focuses on disputes relating to the adjustment and apportionment of general average losses, securing the release of vessels from arrest, and recovering damages in tort arising from ship collisions.

Representative Experience
- Acted for a client in a works and services contract performance dispute valued at over ₽1.5 billion.
- Secured the lifting of an arrest on a vessel in proceedings against the shipowner involving a $10 million claim.
- Represented a shipowner in customs proceedings involving the non-declaration of goods imported into the EAEU single economic space.
- Developed the structure and documentation, and advised on a transaction to increase a company’s share capital by more than ₽200 million.
- Represented individuals and legal entities before the civil and economic judicial chambers of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
